Survey CAD Technician
Job Description

The Survey CAD Technician plays a vital role in processing survey field data for design integration, ensuring accuracy and quality in survey projects.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Civil 3D to process survey data, creating surfaces, alignments, cross sections, profiles, pipe networks, and other necessary elements for review and design use.
  • Complete drafting for finished survey products, adhering to company and INDOT CAD Standards.
  • Prepare survey Fieldbooks.
  • Create Location Control Route Survey Plats (LCRSP) for review and coordinate the recording of the certified plat.
  • Plot property lines from deeds as required.
  • Process survey data using Trimble Business Center.
  • Conduct QA/QC of surveys and LCRSP created by others.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of CAD and/or Survey experience.
  • Proficient in Civil 3D, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, able to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience using Civil 3D (5+ years) and survey drafting (5+ years).
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, surveying, topography, topographic surveys, and civil survey.
  • A working knowledge of Trimble GPS, Total stations, and Data Collectors is preferred but not required.

The role offers a hybrid work-from-home schedule after 60-90 days, depending on the individual's ability to work independently. The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
