OverviewTRC is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Project Cost Analyst II to support our commercial and industrial energy program implementation in the TVA service territory. Your business acumen, decision making, time management, effective communication and professionalism allow you to thrive in a multi-faceted environment to meet program and project goals and objectives. As Project Cost Analyst II , you will be responsible for providing cost estimates and simple paybacks for various types of energy efficiency projects for commercial buildings. Your knowledge, skills, experience, and passion for sustainability measures directly impact TRC, our clients and the consumer’s bottom line.
Qualified candidates will be a hands-on, skilled resource and possess technical capabilities including knowledge of building systems, energy efficiency, green building and/or sustainability. Background and/or degrees in sustainability and/or energy efficiency is preferred. The position is located in Nashville Tennessee.
Responsibilities- Estimate labor and material costs for electrical , HVAC, mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment projects.
- Calculate simple payback, ROI and other metrics for individual energy efficiency measure s and entire projects .
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for clients, customers and the program team.
- Develop and maintain an internal cost database derived from historical project data to supplement currently available cost databases such as RSMeans .
- Track portfolio impacts and key measures on program payback on a quarterly basis.
- Monitor material costs by researching current market prices for electrical , HVAC and other energy efficiency equipment .
- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and identify trends for various energy efficiency upgrades.
- Ensure cost estimates are accurate and aligned with program guidelines and industry standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Professional experience in a cost estimator or related position.
Ability to analyze complex data sets to accurately calculate costs.
Expertise in cost estimating tools and data analysis platforms.
Understanding of construction practices.
Clear and concise communication to explain cost estimates to the client and program staff.
Selfdriven with established critical thinking, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
Previous experience working independently as well as the ability to work in a team atmosphere to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Highly qualified candidates will demonstrate:
5+ years of professional experience in a cost estimator or related position.
Strong understanding of energy efficiency principles, building science, HVAC systems, and energy modeling tools.
Outstanding organizational, time-management and planning skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability with a proactive and collaborative style that works well in multi-disciplinary teams.

Compensation : In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
