JOB SUMMARY

Lead field construction activities and coordinate project staff and subcontractors to ensure successful, on-time, and high-quality project delivery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Comply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise field activities, including labor, materials, equipment, and sequence of work.
  • Ensure construction work meets contract specifications, project drawings, budget, and timeline expectations.
  • Monitor daily work progress and productivity; prepare daily reports and three-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and harassment-free job site; lead weekly safety inspections and toolbox talks; support incident investigations.
  • Coordinate with owners, subcontractors, and internal departments to align schedules, materials, inspections, and overall project execution.
  • Support project forecasting, closeout procedures, punch list completion, and resolution of field issues (e.g., delays, work interference).
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including owners and inspectors.
  • Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with safety, labor, and minority participation goals.
  • Provide on-site leadership, mentorship, and development of foremen and other field staff.
  • Support employee relations by identifying performance issues or policy violations and escalating when necessary.
  • Contribute to cost control, claims negotiation, and documentation of process improvements or best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong knowledge of civil and vertical construction methods, techniques, and materials.
  • Understanding of building codes, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance standards.
  • Ability to develop and interpret project schedules, plans, and specifications.
  • Skilled in managing subcontractors, resolving field conflicts, and ensuring high productivity.
  • Proficient in digital tools and software used in construction project management.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, lead teams effectively, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities, field conditions, and client needs.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, safety leadership, and professional integrity.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • General Contractor License is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or equivalent technical training/field experience.
  • Minimum 4 years' supervisory experience in construction.
  • Proficient in reading construction documents and using Microsoft 365.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Skilled in scheduling, budgeting, team coordination, and jobsite management.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and company values.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

  • Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out
  • Prolong standing, sitting or stationary position
  • Complete repetitive movements such as typing
  • Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
  • Bend and/or twist
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment
  • Work in noise above 85 decibels
  • Handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs or ladders - walk on uneven surfaces
  • Working at heights
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments
