Production Laborer

• Are you curious about all things metal, then this is for you. You will learn to identify different metal and be able to sort these accordingly.
• Do you like conveyor belts and large machinery. This position works on our large industrial shredder - one of only three here in Utah. This is a great opportunity to learn how a shredder works. Skills that you can take with your wherever you go!

Basic Responsibilities:

• Identify and sort different types of materials along a conveyor belt system
• Able to be a team contributor and be able to work on your own
• Help with housekeeping/including sweeping during down times
• Responsible for observing and following all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment
• Must be willing to fill other tasks when needed by supervisor

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Able to work in the heat of the summer and cold of the winter
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Good attendance and punctuality is a must
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Forklift and/or skid-loader operating experience helpful

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• The employee occasionally is required to lift up to 50 pounds
• The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch
• Able to work in the heat of the summer and cold of the winter
