Safety Manager - Solar Projects

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on a solar construction project. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, promoting a culture of safety, and protecting the well-being of all personnel on-site. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety protocols and procedures. Conduct job site safety inspections and audits; document findings and corrective actions. Lead new hire orientations and ongoing safety training, including toolbox talks. Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations; prepare detailed reports. Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure safety alignment. Maintain emergency response readiness and first aid supplies. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA/MSHA). Required Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in construction safety management, preferably in solar or renewable energy. OSHA 500 required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to travel to project sites as needed (per diem/mileage provided). CPR & First Aid certification required Preferred Traits: Electrical experience Experience managing large-scale solar projects. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
