Solution Design Project Engineer

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Dematic needs a Solution Design Project Engineer. Thesuccessful candidate will have relevant experience designing andapplying large-scale material handling solutions. This includes leadingdesign teams and managing Material Handling Equipment projects. Thesuccessful candidate will have a working knowledge of mechanical design,machine controls, warehouse control software, and/or customeroperations. The base payrange for this role is estimated to be \$65,000 - \$140,000 at the timeof posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factorssuch as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.Tasks and Qualifications: What You Will Do in This Role: Reviewrequirements from the customer/sales team and closely collaborate withrelevant internal/external stakeholders to generate executable systemconcepts Lead team members, create 3D models, and generate proposaldrawings to achieve concept freeze Produce material lists and projectscope of work summaries. Submit quote requests and validate vendorquotes in conjunction with procurement teams Apply standard subsystems,designs, and modules to solutions where appropriate Identify relevantproject risks and assist with the generation of mitigation strategiesEstablish priorities, and promote effective interaction betweendepartment Lead technical review and pricing reviews Create costbreakouts and bridging as required Responsible for all projectengineering efforts for assigned projects Capable of recognizing andunderstanding when to apply standard subsystems and modules Able toapply value engineering principles to optimize the effectiveness of thesystem where possible Accountable for technical, cost, and contractingaspects of projects and serves as a key contact for intra-companydepartments and vendors Thoroughly understand customer RFPs,specifications, and requirements What We are Looking For: 5+ years ofexperience in the field: Mechatronic Engineering, Systems Engineering,Application Engineering, Industrial Engineering,etc. Bulk Handling(Preferred) Case Conveyor (Preferred) PLC Control\...
