We are looking for a Crane Operator to join our managementteam. Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Crane Operator tojoin our team. In this role, you will operate a 50-ton overhead crane tolift, transport, and position materials and steel castings on thecleaning room floor, as needed by setup personnel, welders, scarfers,grinders, machine operators, and other staff members. Yourresponsibilities will include ensuring all lifts are performed safelyand efficiently, checking hitching methods, advising on safety duringlifts and quenches, conducting daily safety inspections, and promptlyreporting any equipment malfunctions to your supervisor. The idealcandidate will have a strong knowledge of crane operations, and safetyprotocols, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the team.Duties and Responsibilities: Develop the ability to estimate the weightof objects by sight to ensure the correct hook is used. Understand cranemechanics and operations to perform daily inspections. Safely operate anelectromagnet, main and auxiliary hooks, and be knowledgeable of theheight limits for both the hooks and magnet. Understand which hooks touse for handling magnets, moving steel castings, luger boxes, andperforming heat quenches. Be familiar with all hand signals used on thefloor for communication. Service workstations efficiently and safely.Follow all Maynard Safety rules and guidelines and proactively addressany obvious hazards in the work area, even if no specific safety rule orpolicy is in place. Learn to operate all overhead cranes in the cleaningroom. Qualifications: Highschool Diploma required 1 year of experienceoperating cranes in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.Successful completion of depth perception screening to ensure safeoperation of cranes. Knowledge of crane operations, including setup,maintenance, and safety protocols.
