General Production Worker Job Description We are seeking a skilled General Production Worker to join our team. This position involves reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and related documents to determine methods and sequence of operations, as well as dimensional and finish specifications. The role requires setting up strip heaters, ovens, and other machinery to shape and form parts, as well as drilling, reaming, countersinking, grinding, and finishing parts to specification using various tools and fasteners. Safety is a priority, and maintaining a clean work area is essential. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and related documents. Set up strip heaters, ovens, and other machinery for shaping and forming parts. Drill, ream, countersink, grind, and finish parts to specification using templates, hand tools, power tools, table routers, and fasteners. Ensure a clean and safe work area for yourself and coworkers. Perform other tasks as assigned. Essential Skills Experience in plastics production. Proficiency in general production and machine operation. Ability to read blueprints. 1+ years of experience in plastic extrusion. 1+ years of experience in changing dies and setting up machines. 1+ years of experience in blueprint reading. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with machine setup and operation is highly valued. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work within a team of approximately ten individuals in the plastic fabrication department, reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor. Our facility offers flexible shift options: 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 2nd shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, and 3rd shift from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, Wisconsin. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
