HVAC Installer Job Description We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to work on large commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and a thorough knowledge of HVAC systems and codes. This role involves installing commercial HVAC systems, including equipment, ductwork, fittings, and grills, as well as laying out and connecting electrical wiring. You will also perform startups on HVAC systems to ensure proper functionality, assist with other trades as needed, and must be able to pass an MVR check. Perform startups on HVAC systems and ensure proper functionality. Read and interpret blueprints and building codes. Assist with other trades as required. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience in HVAC installation. Thorough knowledge of HVAC systems and codes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building codes. Experience with sheet metal, electrical, construction, and plumbing. EPA Universal certification. Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment. Knowledge of piping, cooling, and heating systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA 10 certification preferred. Experience with schematic and conduit installations. Familiarity with duct and sheet metal installations. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work hours are from 7am to 5pm, with the possibility of working four 10-hour days depending on the project. There are many opportunities during the summer months. Work involves exposure to extremes of heat, cold, and inclement weather, both indoors and outdoors. You will stand and walk throughout the workday and lift/carry up to 60 lbs. Transportation to sites can be via carpool or personal vehicle. Most sites are local, with some located in Wytheville, Covington, and Martinsville. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, Virginia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
