Press Brake Operator Job Description As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for operating saws and lasers, cutting box tubing, mechanical tubing, steel, and sheet metal. You will utilize precise measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers. The role involves cutting plate steel in various sizes and lengths, reading blueprints, and familiarizing yourself with mechanical operations. Additionally, you will load, unload, and move materials within the shop, select the correct materials, and saw them to job specifications. The physical capability to lift, push, or pull 40 pounds alone or 100 pounds with assistance is required. Responsibilities Operate saws and lasers for cutting materials. Use precise measuring tools, including tape measures and calipers. Cut plate steel in various sizes and lengths. Read and interpret blueprints. Familiarize with mechanical operations. Load, unload, and move materials within the shop. Select and saw materials to job specifications. Maintain physical capability to lift, push, or pull specified weights. Essential Skills Experience in saw, laser, or brake press operation (1+ years). Blueprint reading proficiency. Proficiency in workshop math. High school diploma or GED.
