Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer
BEPC is actively seeking a Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Mason, OH area!
W2 contract: 5 months w/ possible extensions
Pay rate: $38-40.75/hr
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance
Shift: 8am-5pm but times can vary
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Industrial Experience
8+ years of industrial experience
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Assist engineering teams in preparing mechanical lay outs, equipment distribution, performs equipment selection, defines bill of materials and product models configurations, also performing materials ordering following project plans and schedules on medium and high complexity projects, under supervision
Performs mechanical design activities under the supervision of mechanical engineering lead in all types of projects sizes and complexities, efficiently, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
Also performs (on a lower degree) on-site commissioning ensuring equipment s distribution within the building as well as appropriate flow of the process
Technical contribution:
Prepares mechanical engineering drawings in collaboration with engineering specialists using CAD system. Prepares lay outs integrating several levels for material handling flow. On a lower degree, provides support during site commissioning ensuring equipment s distribution and performance. Supports continuous improvement of project process/product/ system design via provision of lessons learned feedback.
Planning and control:
Delivers in house assignments as per the agreed timeline and set quality standards for 2D/3D CAD work. Follows work plans and cost estimates for work within project budgets, troubleshooting and support activities
Processes and tools:
Ensures accurate application and implementation of standard design practices and tools in preparing accurate drawings and 3D modeling. Uses standard processes and procedures to ensure all layout and equipment selection activities comply with projects specifications to satisfy contractual requirements. Reports processes and tools inefficiencies and suggests improvements ideas
Risk and opportunity:
Supports in conducting risk and opportunity assessments during site commissioning phase and in handling technical risks by following mitigation guidelines during equipment s distribution phases
Customer:
Interacts with internal customer on scheduled project reviews as well as with external customers and support them on requests
