A Senior Structural Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This senior civil/structural engineering role involves leading complex design and evaluation efforts, resolving design challenges, and supporting construction and procurement activities to ensure project compliance and technical excellence.

responsibilities:
- Conducts field investigations and client interviews to define scope and estimate costs for civil/structural aspects of projects.
- Leads design, development, evaluation, and constructability reviews of civil/structural components and systems.
- Prepares and checks structural engineering deliverables such as calculations, specifications, and material requisitions.
- Applies advanced structural analysis principles (statics, dynamics, materials engineering) in designing buildings, roadways, railroads, and more.
- Determines material selection (steel, concrete, wood, masonry) based on load/stress requirements.
- Analyzes and resolves complex or conflicting design issues; proposes creative technical solutions.
- Evaluates unconventional materials and techniques for suitability.
- Career-level professional with deep technical knowledge and practical field experience.
- Highly skilled in solving diverse and complex issues with innovative approaches.
- Proficient in structural design, materials selection, and project coordination.
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8-10 years (or 12-14 years) of relevant experience in the field.
