Senior Structural Engineer

A Senior Structural Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This senior civil/structural engineering role involves leading complex design and evaluation efforts, resolving design challenges, and supporting construction and procurement activities to ensure project compliance and technical excellence.

responsibilities:

• Conducts field investigations and client interviews to define scope and estimate costs for civil/structural aspects of projects.
  
  
• Leads design, development, evaluation, and constructability reviews of civil/structural components and systems.
  
  
• Prepares and checks structural engineering deliverables such as calculations, specifications, and material requisitions.
  
  
• Applies advanced structural analysis principles (statics, dynamics, materials engineering) in designing buildings, roadways, railroads, and more.
  
  
• Determines material selection (steel, concrete, wood, masonry) based on load/stress requirements.
  
  
• Analyzes and resolves complex or conflicting design issues; proposes creative technical solutions.
  
  
• Evaluates unconventional materials and techniques for suitability.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
