Where do YOU fit in?
AQUALIS is looking for a Vactor Operator / Driver to join our rapidly growing organization to safely and efficiently produce quality maintenance services for our clients. The work can be physically demanding but above all else, it is extremely rewarding! Your success will directly impact the environment & quality of water in your community!
Duties and responsibilities:
- Perform variety of activities involved within the stormwater maintenance industry including vacuum truck operation and pond / catch basin maintenance
- Safely drive and operate vactor truck and equipment
- Load, unload, and transport non-hazardous debris/waste
- Perform pre and post trip inspections
- Reporting with an understanding of DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations
- Communicate directly with management and clients
- Company paid regional travel throughout the week (~2-4 days)
Basic requirements:
- Valid CDL Class B, ability to acquire a DOT health card; and maintain insurable status under company auto policy are ongoing requirements of this position
- Proficient with mobile technology (i.e. iPads, laptops, email, etc.)
- Pre-employment background check, motor vehicle report and drug test are required
- Available for company paid weekly regional travel as needed
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and site maintenance
- Knowledge of construction safety / OSHA certification preferred
- Able to perform duties in all types of weather conditions to monitor effectiveness
- Must maintain our Companys No Jerk culture
- Class B Driver's License - air brakes and tanker endorsement required
- Previous hydrovac, trucking, vacuum truck or other related industrial experience
- A clean background screening, clean driving record (5 years), clean pre-employment drug screen, and the ability to acquire a DOT Health Card; maintaining a clean driving record & DOT Health Card are an ongoing requirement of this position
- Experience using various tools and equipment used in oil, gas and energy sector including pipe and hand wrenches, hammers, shovels, and gas monitors
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and various terrain
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Physical ability to sit, stand, stoop, squat, carry objects, push and pull
