Were currently seeking a Journeyman Millwright to support a food manufacturing facility in Edmonton during a critical transition period. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment, ensuring all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently through the final phases of operation and decommissioning.
Note: This is a temporary position due to an anticipated site closure, with the role expected to end between late October and January. The duration may vary based on skills and project needs.

Responsibilities
Install, modify, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair packaging and process equipment in a food manufacturing setting
Perform preventative maintenance according to standards and documented schedules
Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly using knowledge of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, and machining
Conduct changeovers and set up/take down of equipment and supplies
Recommend and implement solutions for unique equipment challenges
Provide timely responses to breakdowns in a customer-focused manner
Support equipment decommissioning and relocation efforts
Adhere to GMP, safety, sanitation, and SPC standards
Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively during shift handovers
Train other team members as needed
Qualifications
Red Seal or Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification required
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
Able to read technical drawings and operate machine shop tools
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Committed to safety, quality, and cleanliness standards
