The Department of Administration, Division of Public Works, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage construction projects for state agencies. At the Department of Administration, be prepared to feel important, needed, and surrounded by great people!

The ideal candidate will have experience developing and promoting positive relationships with customers, peers and agency leadership while effectively managing a large project portfolio. This position is responsible for administering project budgets and documentation, authoring and facilitating Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), overseeing design and construction, and reviewing the work of design professionals and contractors.

+ Review and evaluate assigned projects with agency representatives to establish project goals and schedule

+ Establish comprehensive project budgets reflective of the appropriated funding and project challenges

+ Negotiate and administer contracts utilizing the divisions web-based project management software

+ Author and facilitate Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) for design services and alternate construction delivery methods

+ Coordinate construction documents and activities of the design professional team and project stake holders to reach the established project goals

+ Review construction documents and specifications for compliance with adopted building codes, ADA standards etc.

+ Coordinate the advertising, bidding and award of projects

+ Attend construction meetings, review construction site activities, evaluate construction correspondence, contracts and change orders to deliver project within budget and on time

+ Develop positive working relationships with agencies throughout the state

+ Assist agencies with preparation of budget requests for future projects, furniture, grants, etc.

+ Review facility conditions

+ Other duties as assigned.
