Civil/Transportation Engineer (Roadway) Job Description

The Roadway/Transportation Engineer will work on designing roadways, streetscapes, multimodal improvements, traffic improvements, and traffic engineering. This position includes working in stand-alone and multi-discipline design teams, supervised by Project Managers and Licensed Engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various aspects of Roadway Design, including analysis and design involving interstates and interchanges, urban and rural roadways, multimodal improvements, traffic engineering, site grading, storm water management, erosion control, and site plan preparation.
  • Coordination and communication with design team members to ensure the Transportation design details integrate property with the work of all other project disciplines
  • Comply with quality control policies and procedures
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Civil, Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering, or Civil Engineering Technology or related field
  • 1-5+ years of experience in Roadway Design
  • Working familiarity with MicroStation
  • Experience with traffic operations, microsimulation, and travel demand forecasting is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $50.48/hr.
