Job Description

This position involves drafting in Revit, converting the Project Architect's sketches into digital drawings, revising drawings, researching materials, maintaining and updating architectural product and sample libraries, meeting with product representatives, and delivering drawings and materials to clients, consultants, and government agencies. A Draftsperson supports the Project Architect and Project Manager in all project aspects.

Responsibilities

  • Convert Project Architect's sketches into digital drawings using Revit.
  • Revise and update architectural drawings as required.
  • Research materials for projects and maintain architectural product and sample libraries.
  • Meet with product representatives to gather information on new materials.
  • Deliver drawings and materials to clients, consultants, and government agencies.
  • Support Project Architect and Project Manager in all project aspects.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Revit software with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Design and drafting skills.
  • An Associate's degree in a related course of study.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of architecture.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in Construction Administration including RFIs, reviewing submittals, reviewing drawings, conducting site visits, and attending meetings.
Work Environment

The position is based in an architectural firm located in York City. The workplace is in an updated and comfortable building. Applicants should be comfortable with city parking and commuting. This role requires in-office and in-person work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
