Employment for Working Site Superintendent:
General contractor specializing in commercial work is looking to add another Construction Superintendent to our team.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be extremely organized and can multitask effectively, as well as meeting the following qualifications and expectations;
Minimum Qualifications:
Five (5) years commercial construction experience
Two (2) years Superintendent experience
Work with Project Manager in maintaining accurate and efficient schedule
Solid computer skills and experience working with Word, Excel, and Outlook
Be proficient in writing daily filed reports and providing other written documentation
Able to read blueprints, specifications, and submittals and knowledgeable in all commercial construction methods
Superior skills in directing and working with subcontractors, suppliers and other employees
Willingness to work all shifts as needed
Ability to lead weekly safety meetings
Ensure company procedures and standards are maintained
Assist Project Manager with RFI's, change requests and soliciting change information
Interface with local/City officials as required
Possess valid driver's license- preferred Real ID for Federal contracts
Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Positive "can do" attitude
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in medical facility work
High level leadership skills
Ability to deal with unforeseen challenges and a wide variety of personalities
Superior customer service skills
Additional Expectations:
Review and understand project plans, specifications, bid letters, estimate worksheets to effectively manage project
Quality Control to include verifying materials used match specifications and approved submittals, insuring materials are in good condition and proper quantity is ordered, and inspecting all work done by subcontractors
Timely ordering of materials. Comparing pricing with various vendors prior to ordering materials. Writing of Purchase Orders for materials
Jobsite safety and inspection for a Safe Worksite
Maintain daily reports, safety meeting minutes, weekly safety inspection reports, accident reports, three week rolling look-ahead schedules
Responsible for jobsite tool inventory and maintenance, following company safety policy, and safely securing project site
Attend and provide input during weekly meetings with Project Manager, Owners Representative and Architect/Engineer
Goals include completing the entire project on time or ahead of schedule and in or under budget while maintaining excellent workmanship standards
Plan and schedule jobsite tasks, subcontractors and material deliveries, employee job task scheduling and monitoring to ensure production targets are obtained
Must be willing to work nights and travel as required
Compensation
$87,000-$95,000 per year for straight wage work
Take home truck (limitations/qualifications apply)
Fully paid health insurance after 60 days
Vacation
Sick leave (52 hours per calendar year)
7 paid holidays
Per Diem as applicable
Potential annual bonuses based upon overall yearly profitability
