Experienced steel fabricator / lead person needed for a local steel fabrication business.
Seeking an individual with the capacity to function as a lead person and assist with day to day operations.
Must have experience in the fabrication of miscellaneous steel products such as handrails, guardrails, stairs & ladders, including fabrication of structural materials such as columns, beams, braces and brackets.
This individual will be required to read & understand shop drawings and have the ability to make occasional mathematical calculations to perform their duties.
Position requires the knowledge to operate ironworkers, punches, bandsaws, grinders, sanders including the ability to read blueprints and accurately measure and cut materials to the required specifications. An individual with stick welding qualifications and certification would be a favorable candidate.
This will include the need for Physical work including but not limited to pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting, reaching. May require lifting of 50 lb. or more on occasion.
Must be willing to assist and independently oversee occasional onsite installations of products usually occurring in a delicate finished environment.
Welder certifications useful for any FCAW & GMAW welding. Paid Vacations, Simple IRA program contributions. Wage depending on your experience & qualifications.
