Discovering your exciting role

  • This position reports to the Project or Operations Manager. The Punch Press Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a certain area or discipline.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Receiving work instructions from the Supervisor and execution of assembly works based on production planning
  • configures and operates electrically powered presses to cut, shape, and form metal (aluminum, steel, stainless steel) used in manufacturing operations.
  • Performs operations such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming based on blueprints and other instructions.
  • Being a Punch Press Operator responsibility includes configuring equipment and calibrating gauge settings, recognizing condition of dies, loading materials onto the equipment, feeding material through die, and positioning and removing parts from the die
  • Measuring and inspecting parts for quality
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and work instructions
  • Ensuring accurate positioning and securing of workpieces
  • Documenting production data and communicating with colleagues
  • Keeps a record of operational data and performs routine equipment maintenance.
  • Additionally, Punch Press Operator monitors work schedule to ascertain production information, such as size, type, and quantity to be processed.
  • Inform to Supervisor of completed work (in form)
  • Cooperation on trainings of new employees
  • Immediately to inform his supervisor of any quality issues / defects
  • Help to realize and fulfill goals set by the company and from the Supervisor
  • Special other tasks according to the instruction from Supervisor

Occasional work performance (e.g., packing works for ceiling components) outside of the above-described tasks are to be done

  • Basic assembly work experience
  • Read & understand technical documents / drawings

Education and/or experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 6+ months in a manufacturing environment.

Language skills

  • Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply mathematical skills and analyze performance trends in data; Demonstrated experience applying structured problem-solving and decision-making tools and methods.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies and provide solutions; Ability to identify problems, collect information, establish facts, and suggest solutions; Ability to develop and support conclusions.

What can you expect

The work environment characteristics include periodic noise increases when in the Manufacturing facility, although the office environment is usually quiet and respectful. Safety glasses and other required safety protection should be worn when out in the manufacturing facility, which may vary depending on the area you are working/visiting.
