The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Carpenter-Service Technician with commercial finishing carpentry and deficiencies experience to join our team. This is an opportunity for someone with a broad knowledge and experience in carpentry (preferably commercial construction and tenant improvements) to come into an environment where you are working autonomously and trusted to do the job. *Must be willing and able to drive throughout the Lower Mainland, and hold a valid BC Driver's Licence*.

Reporting to the Operations Service Manager, this position will spend their day at sites within the lower mainland, working on small projects, repairs, and maintenance on commercial projects. A good majority of the sites are occupied spaces as we specialize in Tenant Improvements. Your key responsibilities will include:

-Travelling to various project sites
-Drywall repairs and painting
-Installation of doors, flooring, T-bar ceilings, windows, baseboards, washroom accessories, door hardware, millwork, wood backing, cabinetry, etc
-Minor wood & steel stud framing
-Deficiency repairs
-Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring...

-Punctual and reliable
-Service-oriented work ethic with a professional and courteous demeanor
-Minimum of 5 years experience as a Service Carpenter
-Available for a full-time schedule (40 hours) with the flexibility to work varying hours if needed
-Red Seal certification in Carpentry an asset
-Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
-A valid Class 5 drivers license paired with a drivers abstract free from any contraventions
-Hand tools expected to be supplied by applicant
-Good directional knowledge of the Lower Mainland, specifically the downtown core
-Working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
-Ability to use Safety and Timecard applications
-Able to commute to multiple locations in the Lower Mainland daily, as required
-CSA approved safety footwear
