Responsibilities

Responsibilities of a MIG/TIG Welder:

• Welding: Performing MIG and TIG welding on various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.
• Fabrication: Cutting, grinding, polishing, bending, and fitting components as needed.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpreting and working from blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Equipment Setup: Setting up and operating MIG and TIG welding equipment.
• Quality Control: Inspecting welds for bead size, appearance, and other specifications.
• Safety: Following all safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Troubleshooting: Addressing any issues that may arise with welding equipment or processes.
• Skills and Requirements:
  
  
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in MIG and / or TIG welding is required.
• Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Welding Techniques: Knowledge and experience with both MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Equipment Operation: Ability to set up and operate MIG and TIG welding equipment.
• Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot welding issues and adjust techniques as needed.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift and handle materials, and stand for extended periods.
• Safety: Understanding and following safety procedures.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 6 hrs of overtime per week

working weekends
