POSITION SUMMARY

This role fabricates, welds, and finishes custom products and assemblies according to specifications, using various tools and equipment. They should have strong knowledge of mechanical systems, and the ability to read schematics, use power tools, operate fabrication equipment, and ensure quality standards are met. A high performing, creative and flexible team member who is willing to work with less structure and is willing to change schedule as needed to execute to the requirements of the business and utilize available equipment resources.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform PVC/Poly Pro welding as part of the fabrication process.
• Performs assembly of mechanical systems and product.
• Produces fabricated parts by following blueprint instructions with the aid of drawings and fixtures.
• Weld, glue, and build components made of stainless steel, fiberglass, and plastics.
• Read a tape measure, cut materials per blueprints
• Uphold our internal quality standards by following standard work processes
• Other duties as assigned

ATTRIBUTES

• Understand fabrication sequencing and efficient means for production.
• Read blue prints and follow work order and fabrication instructions.
• Operating power tools as needed for fabrication and crating work.
• Full understanding of jigs and fixtures and their purpose
• General cleaning of work area, including work surfaces, equipment, and floors
• Able to work independently and productively
• Able to work in a team environment
• Ensure accurate labeling of parts
• Expected to be wearing proper safety equipment throughout the day (Steel toe shoes, safety glasses, ear protection etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

• GED required or High School Diploma
• 2+ years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment required
• PVC/Poly Pro Welding ability preferred
• Pool plumbing experience preferred
• Ability to read prints and work instructions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and job procedures
• Must maintain a dependable and reliable work schedule and attendance record

The target hourly range is $22.00 - $26.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. Expanded pay ranges may be available for growth and advancement opportunities. In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
