CARPENTRY ESTIMATOR
CCI is currently seeking a full-time Carpentry Estimator. In this position, the candidate will complete the due diligence necessary to accurately estimate the cost of work to be performed and oversee the bid submission process. Main Duties/Responsibilities: Review and understand blueprints, plans, and specifications of structural and architectural components in order to understand the project as a whole and then prepare detailed estimates. Research and acquire subcontractors for drywall, installation, and acoustic ceilings through competitive bids, and negotiate terms. Develop the scope of work and proposal. Provide all subcontractors with drawings and specifications before the bid process. Develop an invitation to bid and send it to vendors. Perform take-offs on materials for self-performed steel stud framing, structural and non-structural sheathing, insulation, cabinets, wood framing, steel siding, vinyl siding, LP siding, Hardi-Board siding, and all components of finishes (base, casing, wood interior doors, various types of residential and commercial doors/frames, hardware, bathroom accessories) that are required. Manage implementation, updates, and execution of assemblies within estimating software.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of commercial framing estimating experience as well as 3 years of field experience in construction. Experience with conceptual and design-build estimates. Estimating software experience is preferred, as well as construction software, such as Bluebeam.
