Job Description
We are looking for a Structural Components Design Engineer with experience in product development, new design implementation, and modification of existing products. The ideal candidate will have the technical expertise to work independently within their field and contribute to product improvements and project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day development and implementation of new designs and changes to existing products.
Design CH (Cab & Hood) and EV structure components.
Ensure new designs meet business goals and Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature (QDCF) targets.
Conduct early-stage design validation to ensure robust and reliable releases.
Release components to address maintenance issues or support ongoing projects.
Support modular system development and optimize component diversity.
Manage delivery timelines and tasks with minimal supervision from component engineers.
Qualifications
Proven experience in structural component design, particularly CH & EV components.
Strong ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
+10 years of experience with PTC CREO (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to front-load design efforts and ensure late-stage stability.
Skilled in analyzing technical issues and drawing sound conclusions.
Familiarity with modular design principles and reducing part diversity.
Strong understanding of QDCF principles and ability to apply them to design processes.
