General Contractor hiring for a Construction Project Engineer to work on-site on large, new buildmercial construction projects in the Northern Virginia area. Seeking to connect with professionals with 2+ years of experience in construction that are looking to build long-term careers in the industry. Successful applications will be US Citizens due to the nature of the project. No sponsorship or visa transfer is available for this role.
Your new role:
As a Construction Project Engineer you will provide administrative and project management support to the Project and Field Management construction team. The projects that you will be working on are fast-paced large data center and mission critical construction projects in Northern Virginia.
Your task is to support the construction team to ensure that targets set for the project arepleted to the required standard of quality and within the set time and budget. You will be involved in a variety of tasks including project scheduling, bidding, take-offs, procurement and cost controls; as well as the management of RFI's, submittals and change orders.
What you'll need to succeed:
2+ years' experience working in the construction industry for a general contractor or subcontractor.
Experience inmercial construction, this could be on new build or interior renovation projects.
Bachelor's degree in a construction related discipline preferred but not essential.
This is a fast-paced construction position so you will need to be able to multi-task and be an excellentmunicator and able to work with different personalities and levels of seniority within an organization.
Experience in any construction software experience you have such as procore or bluebeam in addition to proficiency in Microsoft packages is a plus.
Candidates must be US Citizens and local to Northern Virginia and/or DC. Overseas applicants, or professionals that will now or at some stage need support with sponsorship will not be considered for this particular opportunity.
What you'll get in return:
Base salary in the 65K - $75K range depending on experience.
Sign-On Bonus ranging $5K - $10K
Monthly vehicle allowance
Yearly bonus plan enrolment.
401k plan with a 4%pany match.
