Job Description:

This position focuses on fabricating and maintaining steel fixtures and jigs used in a high-demand industrial production environment. The role requires experience with various welding processes including stick and MIG welding on mild steel up to inch thick. This position supports ongoing maintenance operations and is part of the Maintenance Department.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate and modify steel fixtures and jigs for production use

Submit or interpret sketches, part lists, and material requirements for new or repaired units

Lead or support fixture construction and repair projects

Assist with general maintenance and construction-related tasks across the facility

Perform buildings and grounds maintenance as needed

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Follow safety protocols and company guidelines at all times

Ensure work meets quality and environmental standards

Additional tasks may be assigned based on operational needs

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial fabrication, outdoor maintenance, or within a continuous process production environment

Proficient in stick and MIG welding

Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude

Effective time management and multitasking skills

Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and initiative

Must obtain or hold a valid welding certification

Basic communication and report writing skills

Willingness to undergo testing and evaluation in welding, mechanical, and numerical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Certification in welding

Experience in heavy fabrication, industrial welding, or maintenance within a construction or manufacturing environment
