Looking for a Press Brake Operator in Lexington, NC $19-21/HR to start with room to grow Variety of shifts available (M-F schedule) Job Description The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the brake to bend, notch, punch, or straighten metal plates or sheet metal to blueprint or sketch specifications, supporting production needs. Responsibilities Perform set-ups and die changes as required. Work with steel ranging from 1.5mm to 30mm thick. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to produce various configurations. Measure and verify dimensions of work pieces. Interpret precise measuring instruments and measure parts for proper specification. Check products for correct shape, dimensions, and other specifications. Perform quality inspection to ensure correct sizes, flatness, and tolerances. Complete work orders in a timely fashion, following the correct order schedule. Grind laps or burrs from edges of work pieces when required. Ensure packaging is properly set up as specified if required. Document completed work. Clean and lubricate equipment as required. Follow strict quality control procedures. Maintain good housekeeping practices. Comply with all operational procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (e.g., IATF, ISO). Perform any other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Experience with press brake operation and set-up. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Proficiency in using measuring instruments like tape measures and calipers. Experience with hand tools. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.43 - $20.43/hr.
