Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. With a minimum of 5 years of experience, the ideal candidate will be well-versed in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial settings. As a Commercial Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our hospital's electrical infrastructure. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, lighting, and control systems in industrial and commercial environments. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems. Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions. Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs. Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment. Utilize hand and power tools to perform tasks. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and code requirements. Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in EMT Conduit, Branch Circuit Conduit Installation, Panel Installation, and Light Fixture Installation. Ability to read and work with electrical schematics and blueprints. Experience with conduit bending and pulling wire. Capability to handle tasks involving GTW, cable repair, and using hand tools. Work Environment This is a prevailing wage job with a start time between 6-7 AM, typically working an 8-10 hour day. The role involves projects such as ICU hospital expansion, which can last from 3 months to 1 year, with opportunities to be moved around. The position is based in Middle Tennessee, with the flexibility of moving within the area. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McMinnville, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.77 - $33.77/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
