Drafter I

irswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a Drafter I to work on an initial 11-month contract in Ferndale Washington United States. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Update and revise technical drawings, including P&IDs and Isometric drawings, based on field inspection data using AutoCAD. Manage and execute MOCs (Management of Change) processes to support inspection activities. Provide general AutoCAD support for the Inspection Department. Assist the PCMS Coordinator with data cleanup and validation as part of the AIMI conversion project. Perform field walk-downs and piping verification to ensure accuracy of drawings and documentation. BASIC/ REQUIRED SKILLS Minimum of 2 years of drafting experience, preferably in industrial environments. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Solid understanding of drafting standards, methods, and best practices. Proficient in AutoCAD. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to interpret and create technical drawings accurately. Strong problem-solving skills, especially related to design discrepancies. Ability to perform physical field walk-downs and piping verifications. Comfortable working in industrial environments with strict safety protocols. Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. SKILLS Experience in industries such as refining, petrochemical, or similar heavy industrial sectors. Familiarity with software like Falcon and SAP is a plus. Previous experience in inspection support roles is highly desirable. Technical training or certifications in drafting or CAD are a plus. #LI-KM2
