Sevan Multi Site Solutions is a veteran owned business that provides fully customized turn key program management and construction services at scale We offer program management site assessments design and engineering services for restaurants grocery gas station retail and government projects nationwide We work with leading brands like McDonalds Starbucks Sprouts and Whataburger to name a few At Sevan we provide the talent technology and trusted expertise needed to consistently deliver excellence in multi site construction Sevan is an INC 5000 Fastest Growing Company Great Places to Work 2023 Best Places to work in Chicago 20 21 22 23 Best Places to Work in Construction 2023 The Civil Engineer I is a member of the engineering design team who works alongside a group of individuals to provide civil engineering services within a dedicated design team A design professional accountable for supporting the team in producing accurate design and construction documents for our multi site clients and supporting other team members in achieving team goals Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs assignments under direction and supervisory approval of others for all projects Prepares complete accurate and code compliant construction documentsProvides technical and creative design solutions that align with program intentAssists Sr Civil Engineer in the completion of civil engineering design calculations Applies clients program requirements and design criteria to existing buildings and structuresResponsible for maintaining project schedules deadlines and commitments for projects of varying sizes and complexity Possesses a working knowledge of civil engineering principles building codes land development codes and ADA requirements Conducts project due diligence with municipalities to determine local zoning engineering land development code and building code requirementsAccountable for resolving plan review comments from code officialsAssists the project liaison to code officials outside consultants suppliers and contractors regarding questions to the construction documentsAdheres to CAD standards and follows assigned drafting protocol across all projects Engages in personal and professional growth opportunities within SevanAccountable for timely completion of assigned projects Self starter with the ability to work independently on simple to moderately difficult projectsAble to prioritize and work on multiple projects at the same timeOther duties as assignedQualifications A bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent 1 4 or more years related experience andor training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles practices and advanced techniques Expertise in drawings specifications and building materials Capable of completing moderately difficult engineering assignments with minimal supervision under the direction of a Sr Civil Engineer Ability to execute and coordinate multiple projects at a time of various scope and duration and can quickly change direction to meet aggressive deadlines Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the project team including management project management clients clients organization contractors vendors and jurisdiction authorities Work Conditions & Travel This is a hybrid role out of our Downers Grove IL headquarters or Dallas TX office but may be remote based A highly collaborative environment that flourishes when individual and team contributions combine to achieve target goals and objectives The workplace is dynamic fast paced and flexible Able to work remotely in a home office setting and manage time effectively with multiple projects and deadlines Travel on an as needed basis 0 10 Regularly required to sit;
