Industrial Painter Job Description As an Industrial Painter, you will apply paint, varnishes, and other coatings to a variety of surfaces using spray guns, rollers, or brushes. You will prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary, and operate and maintain painting equipment and tools. It is essential to wear and maintain required PPE at all times, including a respirator, body suit, safety glasses, earplugs, and steel-toe footwear. You will clean and maintain the paint kitchen, paint booth, and all related supplies and equipment. Additionally, you will mix and match paint colors to ensure proper consistency and finish, follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations related to hazardous materials and waste disposal, inspect finished work for quality and adherence to specifications, and maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Work Environment The work environment varies in noise level from moderate to high, depending on specific production areas. Temperature fluctuates with the seasons, and employees are regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, as well as moving parts. Working hours are Monday through Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm, with mandatory shifts on Fridays from 6am to noon. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fairmont, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
