With growing production demands and a push toward hybrid cloud environments, they're building modern, secure, and resilient systems to support mission-critical operations. This is a rare opportunity to lead infrastructure architecture at the ground level for a company that's both deeply stable and scaling fast behind the scenes. You'll own design decisions that touch production lines, enterprise apps, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery - without the red tape of bloated IT orgs. The Role They're looking for a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to drive the evolution of their backend systems - from legacy on-prem environments to a hybrid colocation and cloud strategy. You'll act as the technical lead for everything compute, storage, and DR - partnering with security, operations, and software teams to keep infrastructure modern, available, and scalable. Core responsibilities Architect resilient virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) across multiple facilities Lead migrations to colocation and hybrid cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) Build robust DR and backup systems using tools like Veeam and Pure Storage Design scalable enterprise storage (SAN, NAS, HCI) and optimize for performance Support business-critical apps (ERP, MES, SQL Server) in a 24/7 manufacturing context Act as SME for Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and authentication infrastructure Requirements 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with 8+ in manufacturing or high-availability environments Deep expertise in virtualization, storage, and backup technologies Familiar with hybrid cloud models, observability, and DR architecture Comfortable leading cross-functional infrastructure projects end-to-end US Based and willing to be onsite in Cleveland 3 days a week Bonus Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SAP, or MES platforms Exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy operational environments Knowledge of network and infrastructure security at the enterprise level Why this team?
