Senior Drafter - Millwork in Alvin,TX,US

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Microvellum Drafter to join our engineering team. In this role, you will lead a two-person drafting team, working alongside and overseeing a Junior Drafter. You will be responsible for producing accurate, buildable shop drawings for high end custom millwork and cabinetry, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring drafting standards and quality are consistently met. Job Qualifications Extensive working knowledge of CAD software, including AutoCAD and Microvellum, to prepare technical drawings efficiently and accurately Experience working in a high end custom millwork shop or manufacturing environment. Versed in woodworking and wood veneers Working knowledge of generally accepted take off principles Working knowledge of industry related finishes and hardware Ability to adhere to the company's established standards of high quality and deadline driven schedules simultaneously Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as requested at the discretion of management Primary Responsibilities Create detailed and accurate shop drawings in Microvellum based on architectural plans and project specifications. Assign drafting tasks and responsibilities to the Junior Drafter, ensuring workloads are balanced and deadlines are met. Work closely with engineering, production, and project management teams to resolve design challenges and support smooth project execution. Review all drawings (yours and the Junior Drafter's) for completeness, clarity, and constructability; ensure compliance with internal standards and project requirements.
