Experienced Fabricator Job Description: Perform complex welding assignments independently Perform practical application of shop mathematics to do layouts and plan work Setup and operate oxyacetylene torch and plasma cutter for all types of tasks Perform checks for quality during fabrication by visual inspections, using true square or center gauging, measuring, and comparing print specifications, documented tolerances ,or verbal instructions Drive and operate trucks, forklifts, and boom lifts after receiving training and when authorized Run multi-conductor wire Bend and fit conduit and encoders - will actually run all of the wiring for the product Skills Needed: MIG welding Fabrication - at least 3+ years of experience within this field Operating welding equipment Shop mathematics Oxyacetylene torch operation Plasma cutting Visual inspection for quality Operating power and hand tools Driving trucks, forklifts, and boom lifts Work Site and Environment: This is a fully on-site position in AMES, Iowa Working with around 20 others within the shop Monday-Friday, 7:00-4:00 pm Overtime required! Family oriented business Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
