Machine Operator - multiple shifts available Job Description We are seeking a dedicated machine operator to join our team. In this role, you will perform various cleaning, quality inspection, and monitoring operations to assist in the setup and maintenance of our vacuum atomization furnace. Your responsibilities will include preparing raw material charges, operating the furnace control board, and making minor repairs. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a premiere military and defense contractor for the production of airplane and fighter jet parts. Responsibilities Perform various cleaning, quality inspection, monitoring, and securing operations for the vacuum atomization furnace. Work from verbal and written instructions to perform repetitive tasks before, during, and after the atomization process. Assist in preparing raw material charges and running the furnace control board. Make minor repairs on the furnace, atomization chamber, and other auxiliary equipment. Clean the atomization chamber and carry out housekeeping duties. Assist in the removal and replacement of the furnace lid and coils, and clean the interior of the furnace chamber and 'O' ring seal. Clean raw material charges and transport them to the charge area. Assist in the attachment and detachment of gas, electric, and water lines to the furnace lid and tank. Utilize an electric hoist to remove and replace the furnace lid from the furnace chamber. Clean inside crucibles, patch cracks, and perform other repair tasks of crucibles prior to the next run. Essential Skills General mechanical aptitude, including working on cars and motors within your free time. Experience in a production setting working with machines as a general production worker, machine operator, or plant laborer. Reliable transportation to ensure punctuality, as the position is not near bus routes. Machine operation, general production, repair, and quality control skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations. Ability to work from heights up to 60 feet. Able to wear a respirator. Physically capable of bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, overhead reaching, standing for long periods (up to 8 hours), climbing stairs, and independently lifting up to 25 lbs. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
