Electrical Engineer Intern

SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineer Intern will provide support and is responsible for supporting Commissioning, scheduling, and all Project Performance teams.
This position reports to the Associate Director of Project Performance, or another management personnel that the President/Senior Vice President of the Company may designate. This position is remote and will report to the Irvine office and/or the employee's home office. Working hours are to be discussed with supervisor but will not exceed 25 hours per week. The internship is set for 90 days from date of hire but may be extended as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 10%.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.
Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes.
Learn overall life cycle of a construction project.
Develop understanding what a Bulk electrical system is and how it is managed.
Get familiar with NERC Standards, substation design, BESS design, PV design, Protection.
Visit a site to see construction and commissioning process.
Develop commissioning process with commissioning engineers.
