Responsibilities
- Manage and perform the electrical service calls.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, lighting, and control systems, in existing and new unit installations for residential homes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and effectively, using appropriate testing equipment and tools.
- Ensure that all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Partner with the administration team to properly schedule permits and inspections.
- Follow all OSHA, NEC (National Electrical Code), and company safety protocols to create a safe working environment.
- Communicate with homeowners regarding electrical issues, provide clear explanations of work to be done, and provide quality service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Quote potential work orders while on site.
- Accurately complete work orders, maintain records of repairs and installations, and document any necessary follow-up actions.
- Perform routine maintenance on existing electrical systems and advise on system upgrades to improve efficiency and safety.
- Work closely with installation, administration, service, and management for project completion.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrician, with residential experience.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
- Familiar with hand and power tools used in electrical work and able to operate testing equipment, such as multimeters and ohmmeters.
- Must provide basic hand tools
- Ability to work in various conditions (e.g., attics, basements), lift heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs), and stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods. Must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Work may be performed indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and technical competence.
- Excellent written and communication skills for customer interaction.
