Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in commercial nuclear systems to design modification packages for mechanical systems and components in nuclear power plants. Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited school.
8-10+ years relevant work experience.
Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for mechanical engineering design in nuclear power plants.
Knowledge of client Engineering Change Control process in nuclear utilities.
Working knowledge of Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards.
Preferred Skills: Experience in organizing and prioritizing work efficiently.
Ability to interface effectively with station customers.
Responsibilities: Analyze problems and organize project elements for engineering solutions.
Provide expert advice on design processes or construction methods.
Formulate investigations or studies and recommend practical applications.
Perform review of complex calculations and design deliverables.
Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems using principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
Collaborate with team members on project priorities and implications.
Engage in technical discussions with customers regarding design inputs and methodologies.
