Job Description

We are seeking a Electrical Engineer with strong experience in board-level and system-level hardware design for industrial automation products. You will be a key technical contributor, leading the design, development, and validation of PCB assemblies and complex electrical systems. You will shape system architecture and influence the technology roadmap, ensuring product success from concept through production. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on and highly collaborative environment and is eager to take ownership of complex design challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and validation of PCB assemblies and complex electrical systems.
  • Shape system architecture and influence the technology roadmap.
  • Ensure product success from concept through production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex design challenges.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in circuit and system-level electronics development.
  • Experience with mixed-signal, embedded, and power circuits.
  • Proficiency in Altium or equivalent for schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Familiarity with common communication protocols (SPI, I2C, RS-485, Ethernet, CAN).
  • Familiarity with EMC/ESD, thermal and environmental design considerations.
  • Experience with lab tools including oscilloscopes, logic, spectrum, power analyzers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience designing systems for semiconductor tools or similar regulated industries.
  • Experience with safety control, temperature control, and motion control.
  • Experience with Spice and Hyperlynx or equivalent for circuit, SI, PI simulations.
  • Experience with EtherCAT and EtherCAT-based components and systems.
  • Experience with FPGA development (Verilog/VHDL, simulation, P&R, optimizations).
  • Working knowledge of embedded software (C/C++, Python).
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards (CE, UL, SEMI, IEC).
  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $155000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Scotts Valley,CA.
