Job Summary
The Pipeline Technician maintains the companys damage prevention program by locating pipelines, installing markers, overseeing excavation activities, and conducting routine inspections. This role also involves working closely with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining safety standards in all operations.
Job Description
- Maintain and implement the company's damage prevention program.
- Locate pipelines and install temporary and permanent markers.
- Oversee excavations and line crossings for safety compliance.
- Conduct routine inspections on Right of Way (ROW).
- Attend ad participate in damage prevention meetings.
- Interface with landowners, including private, state, and federal agencies.
- Follow the Company Operator Qualification Program and complete covered tasks.
- Maintain a valid TWIC card and complete ISTC Training for refinery access.
Skills Required
- 4-6 years of related experience in pipeline operations, maintenance, or damage prevention.
- Initiative and proactive problem-solving.
- Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
- Dependability, conscientiousness, and team commitment.
- Physical capability for lifting (up to 75 lbs.), climbing, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to take call-outs, work overtime, and travel as needed.
- Self-leadership and ability to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Degree or GED is required
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.
