TheCarpenter is responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints inorder to select the appropriate tools and material for layout,installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining variousstructures, fixtures, and buildings. Hours and ScheduleMonday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm with anoccasional Saturday Ability to travel within 120 miles radius,occasionally travel will be greater than 120 miles Reports To: ForemanPay: Hourly: $25-45 Non-ExemptPositionsSupervised: N/A Essential Duties and Responsibilities Studies blueprints and diagrams to determine appropriateheight, width, length, and other proportions Works with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, ordrywall Selects the appropriate tool, material, and method to completevarious carpentry tasks Installs doors, windows, partitions, drywall, cabinets, stairs,and other fixtures as required Creates structures for pouring concrete Ensures that installed items meet specific qualityspecifications Motivates team members to work together to accomplish projectcompletion Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices inorder to prevent injury to self or coworkers.Learn more about ushere: High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years' experience as a carpenterKnowledge, Skills andAbilities Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of construction-related equipment and sounddemonstrated use. Good team work and collaboration effort. Strong problem solving, multi-tasking and organizationalskills. Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal/writtencommunication skills (methods to include phone, email, & textmessaging).Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift and carrymaterials and equipment weighing up to fifty pounds on a frequentbasis and up to one-hundred pounds on an occasional basis;prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching isrequired on a daily basis. A full range of physical motion isrequired in order to operate manual and electrically-powered tools,sprayers, and construction-related equipment. The ability to movethroughout the building, including climbing stairs and to work atheights from ladders or scaffolding, in order to performconstruction-related work is required. Environment Exposure The role involves working with machinery and electricity, as wellas impact and power tools. While the job does not expose the workerto fumes or chemicals, it does involve exposure to dust, heat, andcold. The work environment is both indoors and outdoors, and theworker may be required to work at heights. Noise is also a factorin the working conditions.
