Abbott Construction seeks Project Engineer in Seattle, WA to analyze project plans, surveys, and reports to ensure alignment with design requirements and regulatory standards. Prepare cost estimates for materials, equipment, labor, and evaluate the project's overall feasibility. Manage the permitting process with local jurisdictions and coordinate with the design team to ensure timely approvals. Manage the construction, repair, and maintenance of buildings and infrastructure. Oversee construction projects on various site types, ensuring completion within budget and on schedule. Coordinate the integration of complex building envelope systems and oversee the installation of high-end finishes. Resolve issues related to Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPF) systems using industry-standard software. Utilize construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks) for document control, communication, and project coordination. Assist in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and reviewing subcontractor invoices for accuracy. Conduct site inspections and punch lists to ensure compliance with safety codes and project specifications. Lead material procurement and coordination efforts to ensure timely delivery and installation. Monitor quality control during construction to verify that work aligns with approved plans and specifications. Coordinate work between trades, issue Requests for Information (RFIs), and collaborate with the design team to address construction challenges. Document key meetings, track action items, and update project schedules and budgets as necessary. Provide on-site support to the Project Manager and Superintendent, ensuring project milestones are met. Support the estimating team by managing subcontractor outreach, distributing project plans, and coordinating bid submissions. Frequent travel to local construction worksites required.Master's degree in Construction Management, or related field of study and 3 years experience in Project engineering, or related occupation. Salary: $106,642Benefits: Employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package including but not limited to: medical, dental,vision, disability, life insurance, 401k with match, equity opportunities, and vehicle allowance.Specific skills/other requirements -- Working on building systems and components; reading a project schedule in GNATT format; Microsoft office suite; taking copious notes and working on the context of complex construction issues; Walking on jobsite and identifying OSHA / WISHA violations and areas needing to be addressed; construction cash flow; working on project budgeting process and change order process; building envelope systems, compatibility between components, analyzation of designs to identify potential areas for concern, and details to ensure waterproof enclosures; Reviewing all material submittals and shop drawings on a project without input from other team members; Solving construction coordination issues regarding sitework, building envelope, and interior finishes; Management of sitework including earthwork, utility subcontractors and evaluation of soil conditions and cost impacts associated with moisture and weather-affected impacts; Coordination of site logistics for each jobsite including project limits, boundaries, surveying, building and jurisdictional code issues.Frequent travel to local construction worksites required.To apply send resume to ... & ref this ad in cover.
