organization. Location: The Chemical Process Safety Manager in an
on-site role at the Madison, WI facility. Your Role: As the Chemical
Process Safety Manager based in Madison, WI, you will play a crucial
role in ensuring the chemical process safety of manufacturing processes
within our organization. This position involves managing the hazard
evaluation (HE) team, planning and overseeing their work to meet project
milestones and budgets and guaranteeing the accuracy and quality of all
hazard evaluation reports. Your expertise will guide formal risk
assessments for both laboratory and laboratory scale manufacturing
processes, while also coordinating with development and manufacturing
teams to proactively identify and mitigate potential reactive chemical
hazards. Additionally, you will maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety
regulations and procedures, oversee the acquisition of hazard evaluation
technology and maintenance of information resources and databases. As
well as serve as a senior subject matter expert in the chemical process
safety or hazard evaluation. Through effective training and leadership,
you will set a standard for excellence in hazard evaluation and work
habits within the team. Key Responsibilities: \* Plan, schedule, assign,
and oversee HE group work to ensure chemical process safety information
and assigned risk assessments are completed within contracted project
milestone deadlines. \* Review and edit Process Hazard Evaluation (PHE)
reports. \* Oversee planning and running HE experiments on RC1mx,
EasyMax, DSC, TGA, ARC, TSu, BAM Fallhammer, BAM Friction tester, etc.,
interpret results, and edit experimental reports. \* Lead formal risk
assessments for laboratory and kilo laboratory scale manufacturing
processes and write and edit risk assessment reports. \* Ensure all HE
group reports (PHE, LHR, experimental reports) are accurate and meet
quality standards. \* Coordinate with development and manufacturing
groups to proactively identify potential reactive chemical hazards and
recommend ways to mitigate risk. \* Serve as a senior subject matter
expert in PHAs, risk assessments, meetings, teams, and committees. \*
Participate in the contract bidding process by identifying hazardous
processes or chemicals that cannot be safely handled at manufacturing
sites. \* Conduct interdepartmental and across sites teams on chemical
process safety. \* Maintain currency in hazard evaluation equipment,
technology, and procedures and oversee acquisition of additional hazard
evaluation equipment, technology, and procedures. \* Maintain currency
in process safety regulations and corporate policy. Maintain currency in
HE group OPs. \* Maintain a current published schedule of HE group
project status. \* Maintain current metrics on all HE group reports. \*
Maintain hazard evaluation database of experimental reports from
Madison, Sheboygan, Milwaukee, Sheboygan, and ex-Gillingham sites. Add
additional site reports as available. \* Maintain chemical process
safety library of reactive hazards, properties, process safety, and
regulatory guidance. \* Train employees on chemical process safety, HE
experiment interpretation, and chemical process safety regulations and
