2nd Shift Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic

Atlas Staffing is partnering with a company in Glendale that is a family-owned company known for their premium gelato. They are looking to add a talented Maintenance Mechanic to their team! This is a direct hire position with an amazing culture and benefits!

Overview:

It is the responsibility of the Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic to perform regularly scheduled, preventative and unplanned maintenance on equipment to ensure smooth production operation and maximum productivity of gelato manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting automated process and packaging equipment

• Respond when production lines go down due to machinery issues. Assess and repair in timely manner to minimize production down time

• Building maintenance including routing carpentry, masonry, painting, boilers, HVAC, and welding

• Perform routing preventative maintenance or machinery

• Support production through improvement of equipment and processes

• Able to demonstrate capabilities in programming electrical processes, pneumatics, robotics, and conveying

• Read, understand electrical schematics for equipment

• Assemble and wire electrical and pneumatic controls for machinery

• Assist with new equipment installation and testing

• Assist in developing procedures for servicing and maintaining existing equipment

• Support the production department through assisting with training and direction for machine operators.

• Must understand and follow all safety programs

• Must maintain a strong commitment and support of GMP’s, food safety and quality programs and the global food safety initiative.

• Other duties/tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Food manufacturing experience desired

• 4-5 years of experience working in an automated industrial maintenance environment

• Refridgeration experience highly preferred

• Proficient at one or more of the following areas: refrigeration, electrical controls, sanitary welding, boiler maintenance, plumbing and building maintenance

• Ability to read and understand technical equipment manuals, diagrams, and blueprints

• Proficiency in problem solving

• High attention to detail

• Ability to interact and communicate well with coworkers, production staff and management

Pay : $36.00/hr. DOE

Shift : Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
