POSITION SUMMARY
Tactical Construction's Project Managers are responsible for overseeing all phases of construction projects, by ensuring timely and costly completion of jobs. Project Managers schedule and plan each project from start to finish, including but not limited to; successfully managing inventory of equipment, materials, and labor; projecting budget and monitoring all expenses, change orders and punch lists; scheduling material and labor between jobs; building and nurture relationships with general contractors, subcontractors and clients; and monitoring overall progress and reporting job analytics to leadership team. Project Managers oversee Foreman.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Tacticals Project Manager is accountable for performing the duties and responsibilities described below. The list, however, is not necessarily an exhaustive description of the duties and responsibilities associated with the job.
  • Start to finish job management including but not limited to, determining and defining scope of work and deliverables based on construction plan.
  • Direct and oversee construction projects from conception to completion while monitoring compliance with safety and local code.
  • Forecast/plan resources needed to complete project.
  • The ability to assist in the Estimating of potential future projects/jobs preferred.
  • Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites as needed.
  • Draft and submit Change Orders for modifications in scope of work and/or resource
    requirements.
  • Manage costs to meet budget, regularly review project financials.
  • Provide direction over general contractors, subcontractors and/or clients.
  • Manage construction schedule and activities.
  • Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines to Leadership team.
  • Oversee site safety and cleanliness.
  • Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships.
  • Punch Lists are accurate and completed on time.
  • Manage employee schedules, timecards, and time off requests.
  • Ensure employee timecards are approved for payroll processing.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
  • Management of all equipment rentals.
  • Confirm accuracy of all incoming invoices.
  • Exemplify good time management skills.

REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelors degree in building science, construction management and/or engineering, preferred.
  • 10+ years of construction experience
  • 5+ years of construction project management
  • Measure/plan, read and follow blueprints with knowledge of building code.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations; OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30, preferred.
  • Preferred certifications to include fall protection, lull/class 7, boom/man lift, off road forklift, scissor lift, laser, rigging, hand signs, Hilti, or Simpson powder actuated tools.
  • Ability to represent the company in a business-like manner.
  • Knowledge of and experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools
  • Must own/maintain all required PPE and hand tools.
  • Daily management software knowledge preferred (i.e. Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Ability to organize and communicate professionally and efficiently.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • A valid drivers license with reliable transportation required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.

  • Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.
  • Use fingers and hands to handle, grasp, move, assemble, and control, materials, objects, tools, etc.
  • Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
  • Repeat the same movements (i.e., Make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists).
  • See objects/controls in bright/glaring light, see details of objects, determine distance between objects.
  • Understand the speech of another person and speak clearly so listeners can understand.
  • Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them; focus on one source of sound and ignore others.
  • The position regularly operates using hand and power tools and requires the ability to lift construction related materials/supplies/equipment. As job sites vary, the above list is not necessarily an exhaustive description of the physical demands associated with a particular job

WORK SCHEDULE
Company operating hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Full-time employees are regularly scheduled and expected to work 40-45 hours per week.

TRAVEL
Our teams meet at the jobsite. Therefore, this position requires travel to a job site regularly, typically in the greater Rochester area. Most work projects require an extended period at a single location, though occasionally jobs are postponed or delayed which may require transportation to more than one jobsite in any given day or week. There are occasional worksites outside the Greater Rochester Area; though, wherever possible, consideration is given to the location of the employees home and willingness to travel. Reliable transportation is required to travel between job sites, purchase materials, etc.
