Job Summary and Qualifications

The Market Project Manager supports the Market Director of Facilities Management and the Directors of Facility Management by planning and executing projects throughout the division. The projects include but are not limited to building renovations, additions, remediation, and capital equipment replacements, utilizing E-builder to manage processes. The Market Project Manager demonstrates extensive knowledge regarding facilities management activities including pre-construction/construction activities, interim life safety and infection control measures, project management, organizational skills, critical thinking techniques, and strong interpersonal skills to assist with accomplishing the goals of the organization. The market project manager will be responsible for soliciting and evaluating bids, as well as, completing project closeouts including vendor performance evaluations. This position will be responsible for working independently with minimal direction.

  • Provides leadership on construction projects to include collaborating with facility administration, department leadership and staff, contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other involved parties
  • Ensures adherence to the budget and schedule and, when unexpected complications or issues arise, makes quick and necessary adjustments.
  • Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, and directs activities regarding the construction and maintenance of assigned structures, facilities, and systems using E-builder software
  • Ensure safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met in construction.
  • Assess, develop and monitor pre-construction risk assessments; infection control risk assessments; and interim life safety assessments for all projects ensuring the processes are documented and monitoring at the required intervals is completed and documented.
  • Review project scope documentation and solicit and evaluate bids
  • Oversees contract negotiations, revisions, and additions and adherence by all parties related to safety, security, facilities, and construction.
  • Managing new construction buildouts, staying within budget, and on time/in scope of original project

What qualifications you will need:

  • 7 years of project management experience Required
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent Required
  • Bachelors degree Preferred
  • Project management certification Preferred
  • OSHA Safety Certification Preferred
