Job Title: Drainage Engineer
Job Description
Join our water resources team as a Drainage Engineer, where you will contribute to habitat restoration, fish passage, floodplain analysis, and stormwater management for transportation projects. This role offers flexibility in location, with opportunities available in Spokane, WA, Tri-Cities, WA, Coeur d'Alene, ID, Boise, ID, or Pocatello, ID.
Responsibilities
- Plan and design a wide range of water resources systems and facilities, including hydraulic analysis for stream crossings and evaluating fish passage and scour.
- Evaluate and design stormwater and surface water management systems.
- Collaborate with a team of support professionals, including drafters, EITs, GIS technicians, and technical editors.
- Actively manage task-specific scope, schedule, and budget.
- Demonstrate knowledge of local, state, and federal design standards.
- Coach and mentor entry-level staff.
- Interface with clients and public agencies as needed.
- Assist in business development efforts, engage in professional organizations, and prepare proposals.
Essential Skills
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 6 or more years of experience with hydrologic and hydraulic computer programs
- Experience leading project teams in collecting data, writing reports, and preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for hydraulic design
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with aquatic resource permits, transportation infrastructure, and construction support services
- Experience working with Irrigation Districts
- Experience with HEC-RAS and/or SMS:SRH2D
- Project management and business development experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $91500.00 - $158080.00/yr.
