Job Description
#Youth25 (Must be 21 company Policy)
Operates vehicles and equipment as required a rubber-tired, skid steer, or crawler type tractor with an attached scoop type bucket on front end. Machines are used to load materials from stockpiles, excavation, charging batch plants, loading and unloading trucks. May be used with attachments in lieu of the bucket.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Experience operating 8000LB. forklift or similar equipment required.
- Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
- Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials.
- Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
- May oil, grease, or otherwise service the machine.
- Operate bulldozer safely and efficiently.
- Cut ditches, slopes, grades, clear brush, shape, and dress slopes and other earthmoving activities.
- Make the necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to the supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Workweek Details:**
Monday through Friday.
Background Requirements:
Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check. Convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. However, company policy does not permit the employment of candidates with some classes/types of convictions.
