Architectural Draftsman in Santa Paula,CA,US

We are hiring a Draftsman to work in-person from our Santa Paula office with strong technical abilities, interest in structural/civil engineering, and a strong desire to learn and grow professionally. Key responsibilities include working with a team to assist in the preliminary engineering stages, preparing various plans and drawings using CAD software, and maintaining the CAD drawing file project directory. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience working in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Civil3D, Revit or other design software. Ability to review drawings for completeness and accuracy. Ability to obtain and assemble data to complete FF&E drawing documents and visit job sites to compile measurements as necessary. Ability to work with planners and local ordinances regarding drawing documentation standards. Ability to handle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision. Ability to interpret architectural/engineering plans. Responsibilities Design development input reflects an understanding and consistent interpretation of schematic design intent. Construction documents are complete and organized within established drafting standards to include dimension control plans, floor plans, interior elevations, sections, elevations, roof plans, utility plans and architectural details. Document revisions are accurate for intent as explained by the project lead and carried through the entire set with completed items highlighted and questions directed back to the project lead. Construction documents are prepared for permit submittal via stamp, signature and collating accurately to match the cover sheet index; this may include subconsultant documents such as structural, mechanical, energy, etc. Field redlines are thoroughly and accurately documented and implemented into construction documents with an understanding of design and construction method with completed items highlighted and questions directed back to the project lead. Electronic distribution of document files (CAD, PDF or other) is timely and complete with all relevant information needed by subconsultants to perform their work. CAD standards and processes are maintained timely and orderly, within the evolving needs of the team.
